About Elaine
Elaine Scarff is a CORU-registered Physical Therapist and holds a Bachelor in Science and Physical Therapy degree from the Institute of Physical Therapy. She is also a Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist having completed both the Vodder (Level 3) and Casley Smith training courses and is also a member of MLD Ireland.
My previous work involved managing a gym for many years and this has given me a solid rehab background. So the natural progression for me was to go in the direction of helping people with injuries overcome them.
My goal is to help clients understand their injury help them to become pain free and to support them with a program going forward to help with injury prevention. I work with the client to create a program for them that works and fits with their lifestyle.
I then went on to add Manual Lymphatic Drainage to my clinic. I have a Level 3 Vodder cert and also completed the Casely Smith course. MLD helps to reduce body swelling from injuries, surgeries and following cancer treatment. My goal with MLD is to help the client understand and manage their condition in a way that works best for them and is the most effective.
In 2016 I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and thankfully came out the other side. I feel that this puts me in a place that i can completely empathise with paitents and it is good for them to have someone who has been there to talk to.
I love all aspects of my job and love being able to help people become pain free every day.
